Dr. Berbano has always dreamed of being a physician for as long as he could remember. He was inspired by his grandfather who was diagnosed with Diabetes. He saw how he suffered managing his condition and he knew then that he wanted to be someone who could help people live longer and better lives.
Dr. Berbano is very fortunate to have his clinical training in New York City. His medical residency in Lenox Hill Hospital and his Endocrinology Fellowship in St. Vincent’s Hospital where he was exposed to transgender management, helped shape him into the well rounded physician he is today. His learning did not stop there, he has since developed great interest and passion in Obesity Medicine and in Peri/Menopause and Hormone Therapy. These has given him an arsenal of tools to help manage his patients in a more integrative approach in the field of Endocrinology.
He is very excited to go back to his roots, to the very city that helped him develop into the physician that he is today.
